    After purchasing products, an additional product appears in the order summary (which was removed from the store many months ago and is not even in the bin).

    Do you have an idea where this error comes from?

    Initially, I thought the products existed under the same ID, but ruled that out. The additional product appears in the basket only after the order has been processed.

    The problem vanishes right after plugin updates and comes back a few hours later.

    It looks like this may be caused due to a theme conflict, or possibly a third-party plugin. I’d recommend the conflict-testing steps here to isolate the source of the issue:?https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to do the following:

    – Temporarily switch your theme back to a default?theme, such as Storefront.
    – Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce.
    – Clear your browser cache, and the cache on your site if you have one there.
    – Test to see if the issue has been resolved.

    If that resolves the issue, then one-by-one you can switch back your theme and re-enable your plugins, testing in between, until the problem appears again. This will then give you an idea about which plugin is the one causing the conflict.

    If you still the issue when your site is on a default theme, and WooCommerce is the only plugin active (and all forms of caching are off), let us know and we can look into it some more.

    I turned off single plugins, one by one… can’t do it all at one time since the website is already working and should be available.

    Nothing found. The problem disappears every single time when I update plugins, themes, or making some bigger changes. And keeps appearing while plugins are off.

    Could it be a database problem? We transferred the page a few months ago and merged it with another one. Maybe it overwrote or duplicated some data?

    Thanks for the efforts here. However, it’s good to do the full conflict test as described by my colleague so as to get conclusive results.

    To avoid affecting your customers, you may want to do the conflict test on a test/staging site. If you don’t have one already, your hosting company might offer one as part of your package. Alternatively, you can use a free plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/

    Just to mention, you can also cautiously do the test on your live site with the Health Check plugin via its troubleshooting mode. Changes will only be applied to you as the admin, normal visitors will continue to interact with the site without any changes.
