    Deactivate all other plugins and switch to the Twenty Thirteen theme. WooCommerce should then work, which means you can activate your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible, and if none are then your theme may be.

    My problem was in memory. Had to make a couple of changes in php.ini:

    max_memory = 128M
    wp_max_memory = 128M

    The combination of these two changes fixed my problem.
