    Hello!

Everything was working fine for a couple of weeks since I set up Square and Woo, however I just noticed that Woo dropped a lot of products stock down to 0 while they are available in Square. I don’t know if this happened over a few days or just instantly for all affected products, a customer sent me a message asking when the product would be back in stock and I was surprised because I knew we had it, so I went to check and found a lot of them mis-synced. I’ll keep an eye if any more products drop over the next few days.

My sync setting is Woo -> Square. Products SKUs match, “Synced with Square” is checked, but the quantity is set to 0 and I have to go over every products and click “Fetch stock from Square” https://imgur.com/a/rwLdkhh

    1. How do I avoid this in the future?
    2. What may have caused it?
    3. And if it happens again, how do I fix it in one click vs opening every product?

Let me know if you need any additional info on this.

    Thank you!

Last reply I had from Square is that they need an “escalation case ID from WooCommerce” to step in. I didn’t see a way to create a ticket in here, and they would not consider a forum thread relevant. Please advise.

    Hey @naarian ,

I’m sorry to hear that the issue is still present, this sounds super frustrating!

Since we’ve covered quite a bit of ground here and the troubleshooting steps up to this point have made no difference, I think it’ll be best for us to take a closer look at this internally.

Can you please contact us at?Woo.com > My Account > Support. Please also include a link to this forum thread, so that we can keep track of what’s already been done.

We’ll be able to help you further there.

    Cheers!

Thanks for opening the ticket with us internally, @naarian .

For anyone else experiencing this issue, there is a known bug in WooCommerce Square, when using the Purchase Order feature within Square itself.

    https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce-square/issues/19

A current workaround is to create any purchase orders in WooCommerce instead of Square, using the manual creation of an order for each customer: https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-orders/view-edit-or-add-an-order/#manually-adding-an-order

Thank you for confirming the bug. It’s sad to see how it’s been unfixed for almost 1.5 years now. What can we do to speed it up?

Unfortunately, creating an Order on Woo isn’t the same as Purchase order on Square, they’re quite the opposite. Order on Woo is a sales order that goes to a customer and deducts the item’s stock whereas Purchase order on Square is meant to be sent to a supplier (vendor) and upon delivery increase the stock count for ordered items.

A temporary solution that Woo can present independently I’d highly suggest which also is relevantly easy to implement would be to create a “Fetch all stock from Square” button that would sync all products at once, that way bringing stock back from 0 to original value from Square (currently I have to click it one-by-one on all affected products in Woo).

    Hello @naarian,

Unfortunately, we don’t have much sway over what the dev team tackles next.

I want to assure you that the issue will be addressed, but at this time, we don’t have a specific date for when that will happen.

I would recommend following the?GitHub thread?for updates. You can also comment there with your feedback and suggestions for improvement. The development team monitors these reports, and community input is an essential part of how we identify the importance of different issues.

?Your understanding in this matter is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!
