    Good evening

Is WooCommerce an easy-to-use plugin for websites? Do you advice it? Is it fully free or do I have to pay something? How can I transfer an already existing shop to WooCommerce without losing the domain?

    Thanks in advance

    Have a great evening

  • WooCommerce itself is free to use, as it is an open-source plugin.

Thanks a lot at the moment…

Someone knows the answer to the other questions?

    Hi
WooCommerce will provide you with a fully functional ecommerce platform for free, you will still need to spend money to design your website how you want it to look. In most cases, you can find a free or inexpensive theme that will take you 90% of the way there.

    Hi @marcofavaretto ,

    Thanks for reaching out!

WooCommerce is indeed an easy-to-use plugin, designed with both the novice and experienced website owner in mind. It is a user-friendly platform that offers a wide range of features, making it a versatile solution for all types of online stores.

As for your question about pricing, WooCommerce is a free open-source plugin. However, while the core functionalities of WooCommerce are free, there are premium extensions and themes available for purchase if you need more advanced features or a more customized look for your online store.

Transferring an existing shop to WooCommerce without losing your domain is absolutely possible. The domain name is separate from the website platform, so you can keep your domain while changing your website’s platform.

The migration process involves setting up a WooCommerce store, exporting your product data from your current platform, and then importing it into WooCommerce.

To better guide you, can you clarify which platform/CMS your shop is currently built on? There are plugins available that can help with migrating your site to WooCommerce, and we’d be happy to provide suggestions, but we’d need a bit more information on what your existing site is currently built on ??

    Looking forward to your response!

If I understand correctly, you are referring to Woo Express, yes?

To clarify, Woo Express includes hosting from WordPress.com, a domain, SSL certificate, additional premium extensions and support from our Happiness Engineers (to name a few).

In summary, Woo Express effectively provides everything needed to rapidly and easily create an online store with all the features you need, including managed hosting, front-end solutions, and everything in between ??

Hope this helps provide clarity, and if you have any other questions related to Woo Express, please contact us directly via ?WooCommerce.com > My Account > Support.

Alternatively, feel free to create a new topic if you need any further help with the free WooCommerce core plugin.

    Cheers!
