Woocommerce Activation Problems

  • Getting this error message after I try to Activate Woocommerce on our site. It completely bricks our admin access when I activate, and adds erroneous code to our homepage. I’ve deleted Woocommerce to bring everything back to normal for now. WordPress and Plugins are all up-to-date.

    It’s possible your betheme theme may be causing the issue.

    To find out, access your server via SFTP or FTP, or a file manager in your hosting account’s control panel, navigate to /wp-content/themes/ and rename the directory of your currently active theme. This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

This will force the default theme to activate and hopefully rule-out a theme-specific issue (theme functions can interfere like plugins).

    Tried that, but it didn’t force the site to a default theme. The BeTheme theme was setup a few years back by a developer and everything otherwise works great. Just can’t nail down what might be causing this issue.
