woocommerce and theme templaes out of date

    hi,

    I recelty updated woocommerce and I have some problems with the compatibility of my theme with woocommerce.

    I contacted the Agni Halena theme support and they are not responding, so I decided to update these temples by myself and that’s why I need some help.

    In my case the temples are this ones.

    I can try to copy these templates from woocommerce templates and paste it on my theme’s templates, but is this as simple as that? (as it’s guided here)?

  • That’s not a good idea. The theme code may be relying on the code in the old templates. Your can wait for the theme vendor to update the theme, or, if its an abandoned theme, it’ll last as long as it lasts but its time to start looking for a new one.

    Feel free to take a backup and use it to make a development site, then try updating the templates there. That should waste a few days…

    In addition to what Lorro replied, I’d recommend cloning your site to a staging environment without modifying your live site or impacting customers. Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with them. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin.
