Woocommerce Australia Posting Tracking Number

    Hi Everyone

    I have recently transferred a client’s website from Shopify to Woocommerce so that she can add customised functionality to her site.

    Everything is going great except that there was one specific function in Shopify that she can’t live without. The Shopify app allowed her to scan the Australia Post shipping label barcode with her phone camera at the Post Office which would then automatically send the tracking code to the customer.

    I have searched online for a WordPress/Woocommerce plug-in that can do the same functionality with no luck and can’t seem to get a straight answer out of Elex or Shipstation on the matter and the Woocommerce Australia Post plug-in seems to only deal with shipping prices.

    Does anyone know of a simple plugin solution for this functionality? Have spent hours on this and my client is making this a big issue as she is always on the road and the previous Shopify process was exactly what she needs.

    I understand you would like to scan the barcode to automatically send the code to the customer.

    Please note that WooCommerce Core does not include a way to support Australian tracking numbers by default. You will need a customization or a plugin to achieve that goal.

    One premium extension that might help as a work-around is the WooCommerce Shipment Tracking, you can enter the tracking number and send it to the customer. I understand this is not what you are looking for, just an option.
