Hi, I decided to recreate a new shop only using Woocommerce blocks.

On the homepage I’m displaying 2 product categories with 3 rows each as well as the latest news… So, not everything is on display.

If I indicate in the Woocommerce Settings this page as being the Shop page, it changes the css and adds all of the products at the end of the page. so I didn’t do that?

I do not want to have a unique page that displays all of my products. So I created 2 shop pages for the 2 main categories of products, with the block, very easily. Again, If i designate one of these two pages as The Shop Page, it will be changed totally.

Ultimately I won’t have a page with all products, therefore no “shop” page. is that an issue ?

Or, what if I keep my old Shop page, with all the products, and just not using it into the website?

    Best

    Veronique

    NB: I’m using Storefront

Can use access the products trough search or trough category navigation? Then I personally think this is not a problem.

That is also an option, for testing pourpose you will able to see all the products in one place.

Thanks @rokmeglic. I suppose it is no real problem.
I also found a kind of solution here : https://www.businessbloomer.com/woocommerce-remove-loop-shop-page/
The snippet works really fine, removes the catalog, but it also acts on the shortcodes I have used to display a category. So, not perfect yet. And it changes the css a little bit…
    Quite weird, but…
    I keep searching.

    Hello eoik,

Thank you for reaching out to WooCommerce support.

I understand that you want to have a customized layout for your shop without having a single page displaying all of your products, and that assigning a page as the “Shop” page in WooCommerce settings is changing the CSS and adding all products to the end of your chosen pages, which is not the result you’re looking for.

To achieve the specific layout you want for your shop page without the automatic addition of products, you would typically need to modify the Shop page template. One effective way to do this is by using a Child Theme in conjunction with custom coding to create your own Shop page template. This method provides great flexibility but requires coding skills and a good understanding of WooCommerce’s template structure and code.

If custom coding isn’t within your comfort zone, another option is to consider using plugins designed to give you more control over the appearance of your store without needing to touch any code. The Storefront Powerpack plugin is one such tool that allows you to customize the Storefront theme extensively through a user-friendly interface, without any coding required.

By using the Storefront Powerpack, you can adjust the layout and appearance of your WooCommerce pages directly from the customizer, giving you the ability to tweak the product display according to your preferences.

Regarding your question about not having a traditional “Shop” page that lists all products, it is not an issue as long as you provide clear navigation to your product categories or specific products elsewhere on your website. Many stores use this approach to guide visitors directly to product categories or featured products instead.

If you choose to keep your original Shop page as is but don’t want it to be accessible to your website visitors, you can simply exclude it from your menu and navigation links. This way, it remains in your site structure but doesn’t affect the shopping experience you’ve curated for your customers.

I hope this gives you the correct direction.
