Yesterday I noticed that no email is coming for new orders in woocommerce.
I tried to enable the option for new order email notification but woocommerce is not saving the option

Instead all other email options can be enabled and disabled.

I have disabled all plugins and tested one by one
I have enabled email logging plugin which is not logging anything off course
I have already updated to new versions of WordPress, Woocommerce, Elementor, Astra theme

    Hi there,

If I understand correctly, you are able to enable/disable all emails — just the New Order email here doesn’t save when you try to enable it, is that correct?

That is certainly very odd! Please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it here in your reply.

Also, check under WooCommerce > Status > Logs and see if there are any entries in the dropdown for fatal-errors. If there are, copy them and paste them here.

A default emoji at the end of the new order email was blocking the saving state. 1 @#%$#@ emoji?

It looks like that was an issue with emojis + certain database setups which was reported as a bug back in 2019 and fixed in Woo 3.8:

What version of the WooCommerce core plugin are you currently on?

The following plugins were working fine 2 weeks ago. The only thing in the meantime I was trying was to install mailchimp or sendinblue instead of mailpoet. I don’t know if these plugin did something. The versions are

    WordPress 5.7
    Woocommerce 5.1.0
    Elementor 3.1.4
    Elementor Pro 1.5.7
    Astra Theme 3.1.2
    Kadence WooCommerce Email Designer 1.4.7

    Hi @bestfamily,

    These versions look good.

If the problem was solved when you removed the emoji in the content of the New Order email, then possibly it wasn’t an issue with the other plugins.

I’ll go ahead and mark this thread as resolved, feel free to create a new one if you have further questions or something comes up.

    Thanks.
