Starting with WooCommerce version 8.3, the Cart and Checkout Blocks are the default for new installations. Do you have a timeline when your plugin will be fully compatible with blocks? Using WC cart blocks, abandoned carts are not saved unless an email address is saved by exit intent.

Hi @rermis, thank you for your question.

We have tested WooCommerce “Classic Checkout” bock and have not found any issues even if this block is inserted in another page, sidebar etc. And “Cart block” is not really something CartBounty requires to function properly.

If you are using some sort of a theme that adds some custom classes to WooCommerce Checkout block, please make sure that email input field has default WooCommerce id “billing_email” and your phone field “billing_phone”.

Please let me know if you have any additional knowledge or scenario that needs to be addressed.

    Kind regards,
    Nauris

    Hi @nauriskolats,

Thank you for your response, please let me clarify. When using cart/checkout blocks in WC 8.3, the abandoned cart is not saved even after saving the email address field on checkout. If I switch back to legacy cart/checkout shortcodes, everything works fine.

Thank you, @rermis, for additional information.

Could you please share what Theme are you using, which shortcodes are you using that are causing the issue you are referring to and maybe you have a link where this behavior can be observed?

    Thank you,

There are no issues with shortcodes. The issue is when using the WC cart blocks and WC checkout blocks in WC 8.3. Abandoned carts are not saved when using WC blocks at checkout.

    Example of checkout: https://snipboard.io/BDmgze.jpg

No abandoned cart is saved with checkout blocks.

Thank you for the screenshots. That’s very helpful!

I need to point that CartBounty does not rely or use in any way WooCommerce Cart block since there is not input (if you see it differently, please let us know).

As to default WooCommerce Checkout block – I mentioned earlier that we have tested adding this block in a sidebar and in a separate page. CartBounty was able to saves contact details and we were unable to find any issues.

Are you using any custom themes or some sort of custom checkout plugins or anything else that is changing how your default WooCommerce Checkout block looks and works?

The example of your checkout block that you shared in a screenshot seems to differ from default WooCommerce checkout page or block so we need to know if you are using some custom theme or a custom plugin for Checkout form that does not add “billing_email” and “billing_phone” ID values to corresponding input fields. You could try to inspect the code yourself if these ID values are there?

If you could provide a link to your checkout page, we could quickly understand the issue where is it coming from and how to resolve it.
So far this seems to be either theme or some custom checkout plugin related issue at this point.

    Best,
    Nauris

This issue seems to have resolved after deleting and reinstalling CartBounty. No other plugins were reinstalled.

    Thank you for the update!
It may have been some caching related issue that required clearing.
