woocommerce cart not cleared

This kind of problem is usually caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
?
The best way to determine this is to:

• Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
• Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
• Repeat the action that is causing the problem

If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

Before you start

First, please make sure you have a good backup in place of your full site and database. Most hosting companies have this included in the subscription, but you could also consider using a service like?Jetpack. If something goes wrong, it’s nice to know that you can restore your site.

Second, I would suggest installing a plugin called?Health Check & Troubleshooting. This is a plugin developed by the WordPress community and it allows you to disable plugins without affecting your current site visitors.

Switch to a default WordPress theme, such as Twenty Nineteen to see if the issue persists. ( How to do it in oxygen ?)

I am facing the issue when the registered customers make purchases on the website, their order is placed and the amount is credited to the account, but the cart alone is not getting cleared after successful payment. (i am using UPI payment method ). Even though I changed the mode to failed or cancelled, but cart is not cleared.

For the non-registered users, the cart is cleared correctly.

This is typically due to caching. Are there any caching plugins running on the site?

Could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

It sounds like you are saying that you are unable to complete a full conflict test due to the use of something called Oxygen builder, is this correct? I assume this is a plugin that has been added to the site?

You can use a plugin called HealthCheck to disable all plugins and test – this will also allow you to test without Oxygen Builder active, but will not affect the look and functionality of the site for customers.

It seems that you’re currently using a custom-developed Cart page.

Could you test by creating the usual cart page with the [woocommerce_cart] shortcode to see if the issue persists? More info can be found in our guide on creating WooCommerce pages.

If the issue persists on the newly created page, you will want to check if it’s some form of caching causing it. Since I do not see a caching plugin on your SSR, you can directly contact your host and ask them to purge all cache and disable it from cart, checkout, and my account pages.

Also, it is usually good to run on the latest WP and WooCommerce versions. So, you could consider upgrading the two.
