Hello! Seems like the upgrade did the fix, albeit it introduced new issues…
Right after upgrading the plugin, there were conflicts in the settings. So, I deleted the app then re-installed. This did the trick, allowing me to access the plugin again.
I had to setup from scratch.
Unfortunately, while connecting with my TikTok business account and assets, I needed to create a new Pixel and new Catalog. I can’t access the existing ones as the TikTok Business Manager says that those are already connected to another website.
So, I went ahead and created a new Pixel and Catalog. Voila, fortunately, the Catalog products are now synced!
Relatively minor issue, but it would cause confusion in the future as I now have two Pixels and two Catalogs. Worse, I can’t delete them. I just get a blank error message with an ? icon.
Fortunately, I was able to delete the old Catalog, so we’ll just focus on the newly created one.
To summarize the bugs:
1. New plugin update destroyed existing plugin configuration files. Need to delete plugin and setup from scratch. It’s a minor inconvenience as I don’t mind re-installing.
2. **Can’t connect to existing Pixel and Catalog.** So, will have to create new ones and cannot access past performance data.
3. **Can’t delete old, existing Pixel**. This is a significant issue as we might get confused and launch new Ad Campaigns connected to this dormant pixel.
Please help with deleting the old pixel. And take note that other users are facing the issues above.
Thanks @tiktokforbusiness !
