Please help. Woocommerce categories no longer open (blanc page). When I disable the plugin everything works fine. I turn it on and the categories don’t open again.

UPD: I apologize for duplicating the topic.

    Hi @zzsnowballzz,

Sorry to hear that your product category pages aren’t appearing. To help us troubleshoot, we’d like to get the following information:

    1. Are all your plugins and themes updated? If not, does updating solve the problem?

    2. Check for your PHP error log for any error messages. You can do this by enabling WordPress debugging or contact your web host. Do any errors appear when you go to the example product category page?

    3. Check for conflicts. This means deactivating all plugins except for Yoast SEO and WooCommerce and switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Nineteen. Does the error still appear?

Thank you for your prompt response.
Yes, the plugin and theme are up to date.
    There are no php errors.
Checked the conflict through a “Health Check & Troubleshooting” on the standard theme. The problem disappears only after disabling the Yoast SEO plugin.

    Hi,

Can you confirm that this issue occurs only with a default theme such as TwentyTwenty, WooCommerce 4.7.1, and Yoast SEO for WordPress 15.4? And if you temporarily deactivate the Yoast SEO plugin, you are then able to load the product categories again?

    Hi,

Yes WordPress 5.5.3, Woocommerce 4.7.1, Yoast SEO 15.4. My main theme is the7, but I also tested on TwentyTwenty theme. Product categories don’t open on both themes.

    Hi,

We enabled the troubleshooting mode of the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin, reverted to the default theme TwentyTwenty, and only enabled Yoast SEO for WordPress 15.4 and WooCommerce 4.7.1. We then proceeded to the WP admin dashboard > Products (sidebar) > Categories, and tried to edit a specific category and were able to do so.

Would it be possible for you to provide more information on what exactly occurs when you try to edit a product category? Is it a 404 or blank page? Or does the category load but the Yoast SEO meta box appear as blank? If you could provide a screenshot, perhaps we could advise further as to what the issue is as we are unable to reproduce it.

    HI,

I was able to determine what the problem is. The plugin was in conflict with another All in one SEO pack plugin. Turned it off and everything started working.

    Hi @zzsnowballzz,

Thanks for the update, if there is a conflict that needs to be solved in Yoast SEO, you can create a new GitHub bug report for our developers.

If you’re getting errors related to another plugin, we ask you to report it to the plugin developers as well.
