I am having a problem with WooCommerce displaying uncategorized category on live product page, here: https://tattooremovalthatworks.com/shop/. This has never been an issue before, but just all of a sudden today it is present after updating a product description. There were 3 categories present before on shop page earlier today, but after deleting the product categories and tags, they’ve gone away.

I have renamed the uncategorized category to All Products, and have created a new category entitled Tattoo Removal and have moved all products to that category, but still uncategorized is present and shows that all products are in that category. I have added an image to this uncategorized category just to make it look a bit more presentable to visitors coming to our site while we get this fixed. We want to stop this category from showing on our products page, but can’t seem to solve this issue. Please help!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

If you can, manually update to the WooCommerce 3.3.1 pre-release and see if that helps: https://woocommerce.wordpress.com/2018/02/01/woocommerce-3-3-1-status-update/#How-do-I-install-the-pre-release-of-331

Be sure to clear the cache (any caching plugins / with your web host) as well.

That fixed the issue. Thank you so much. ??

Thank you ADUpchurce for asking the question and thank you Caleb for providing a solution. I have the same issue, which started just a few days ago. In my case, I am using WooCommerce with Datafeedr, to feed affiliate data to my wordpress site.

All of a sudden, it seems like all of my products (which are already in categories) are being magically added to a new “uncategorized” category, which I did not create. They are keeping their original category, but are being also included in Uncategorized.

Before I realized that this was an ongoing problem, and there were only 5 products listed, I went through and manually removed them from Uncategorized. I thought that was it. Then there were 171 products. Now 1400+ products.

I can’t try the fix at the moment, because I have a developer working on some other changes for me, but as soon as he is finished, I will try this fix (to update to the WooCommerce 3.3.1 pre-release).

    Thanks again!

I use the Prosociate plugin to populate the products on my website and I’m having the exact same problem when the Prosocite cron job runs to update the products.

I’m running Woocommerce version 3.2.6. Ver 3.3.3 doesn’t solve the problem and makes my site load extremely slow.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Don

    Hi,
When I use the shortcode for displaying product categories on a page, ([product_categories]), it is displayed. But the description is also displayed below the product category. How to remove the description from the page? Is there any attribute for the shortcode? Please let me know.

If I want to put additional options (eg. images, buttons ) on the product category page, how do I edit it?

I have same problem, I deleted category , and no product in it, but steal, there is page exist, I think its a bad for seo, double content. And its also translated “nekategorizovano” – no category. Here is a link for bouth page

Category nekategorizovano doesn’t exist, but product still showing?
