woocommerce-chained-products doesn't work with Susbcriptions products

I have installed woocommerce-chained-products plugin and notice that the plugin works if I chain a simple product to another. I tried to chain a subscription product but when I save the changes it doesn’t work.
I need it to link a paper subscription of a journal and give the digital subscription for free.
