Hello, I recently downloaded and have been developing my Woocommerce site, and everything has been going well until I started to edit the default WooCommerce pages. I downloaded ShopEngine, a plugin to edit these default pages, but for some reason, when I use their checkout template, it cuts that entire page in half. Additionally, on the cart page, there are small design errors, like text not matching its look in Elementor. The plugin works for other pages, like “Shop,” but for these two, there are problems. I assume both errors are related. Any advice is appreciated. Also, I have already reached out to the ShopEngine team and am waiting to hear back. I am using the “Vault” theme by UI Core which has compatibility with Woocommerce from what I see on their site. Any clarification is appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @js145,

It could be a conflict between the ShopEngine plugin and the Vault theme you’re using, even if both are supposed to be compatible with WooCommerce. To verify this, you could temporarily switch to a default WordPress theme (like Storefront) and see if the problem persists.

Could you also edit the checkout page in the WordPress editor, remove everything, and then paste the WooCommerce checkout shortcode ([woocommerce_checkout])? After saving the page, check again to see whether everything works or not.

I am suggesting it because, in the latest version, WooCommerce automatically adds a checkout block on the checkout and a Cart block on the cart page, which may not be compatible with many themes and plugins out there.

Let us know how that goes. Thanks!

    Hello,

After changing the theme I noticed the cart page displayed normally, and the checkout page also displayed normally with a small margin/width errors but I assume that was just because of the sudden theme change.

Also, when I added the short code, using the vault theme, everything stayed the same.

The next move would be to remove ShopEngine, and I’m okay with that, but is there any way to make small edits to the default pages otherwise? Or should I look for a different plugin? The only risk is that I may find myself with another plugin that is not compatible with.

    Thank you

    Hello Jordan Smith,

    Thank you for your reply.

I’m glad to hear that by changing your theme, your cart and checkout pages are displaying normally.

Could you provide a little more detail about the specific edits you’re looking to implement on the default pages? Once I have a clearer understanding of the modifications you wish to make, I’ll be better positioned to guide you toward a suitable solution.

I look forward to your response so that I can help you further refine your WooCommerce store. ??

    Have a great day!

    Hello,

Yes sure, I initially wanted to edit the default pages because even with only the Vault theme being displayed, a few pages still had errors.

For example, with just Vault, the “account dashboard”, “cart”, and “checkout” pages looked fine. However, the shop page does not appear correctly.

Alternatively, when I used the ShopEngine plugin, the “account dashboard” and “shop” pages looked fine. But the “cart” and”checkout” page were not working properly.

I am essentially trying to find a way where I can display all pages without any design errors either with or without the plugin I have now. I really just need the theme. Which I read was compatible with WooCommerce and even has it’s own settings for WooCommerce

Let me know if you need any other info.

    Thank you.

And by appear correctly, I mean there seemed to be glitches and css errors where certain blocks were not appearing where they should.
