    Hello everyone,

I use Loco Translate on my wordpress/woocommerce website to translate certain strings. I translated Firstname, Lastname and Company name to dutch. But it only changed in Billing section and not the Shipping section.

I took of the Loco Translate plugin and the problem still consists, I also tried a string locator to find where it comes from but cant seem to find it anywhere.

  • Hi @kylanmint

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you would like to translate some text strings of your site’s Checkout page to Dutch, however, you are unable to translate the Shipping Information Input Fields, correct?

WooCommerce is already translated into a few languages and does come translation-ready out of the box. All that’s needed is a translation file for your language. You can learn more about that here: Translating WooCommerce

Meanwhile, I am also using the Loco Translate to translate the First Name field on my Checkout page and I was able to translate both the Billing and Shipping fields as seen below. Kindly take note that my site is running on the the default Storefront theme.

Since you’re using a third-party plugin that we don’t provide support for based on our Support Policy, I recommend that you reach out to the developers of the plugin for further assistance. They will be better equipped to help you resolve any issues you’re experiencing with the plugin.

All the best and hopefully, the issue will be fixed soon.

Its not because of Loco Translate because when I deactivate this plug-in the problem doesn’t disappear. I think its either somewhere in Woocommerce or in my Theme but I tried looking in my theme translations and these fields are nowhere to be found.

When I use Firstname, Lastname or company name with the string locator plug-in I find a lot of strings but none of them change the frontend of my checkout page.

Its really weird because the billing section is translated properly and the shipping section is not!

Perhaps it’s a theme-related bug. Can you please try switching to Storefront?

Also, please make sure that the checkout page has only this shortcode added [woocommerce_checkout] .

If both suggestions didn’t help then please attach your system status report. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.? Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response or in a Gist.

    Cheers!

    Hello @babylon1999,

I think you are right! I used Storefront theme and now it displays what I filled in! So I have to translate the string in my theme? Or is it a bug?

I will try to find it in my theme files.

Thank you for your help already!
