Woocommerce checkout page keeps loading

    Hi, it’s been more than a year I’m using Woocommerce plugin on my website with no problem. Recently, I started facing a major issue on checkout page: the payment section keeps loading/spinning all the time.
    I followed tips provided here: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/endless-loading-spinner-on-checkout-page-3/ but they didn’t help. In particular, I deactivated all other plugins, changed the Theme (current one is Astra), but nothing helps ((
    To reproduce the issue, you just need to add an item to the basket and try to checkout.

    Anyone can help me out with this issue ?

    I’d like to understand your site properly, can you please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

    You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

    If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    Thanks for reaching back with further info about the site. While investigating the issue, I was not able to reproduce it. Here is a link to the test installation, which will be available for another day or so:

    From the site’s System Status report, I was able to identify various plugins that could be the reason for the conflict (endless spin, while at checkout).

    While I read you already tried a conflict test, I need to ask you to repeat it.
    Can you please perform a conflict test on your site and let us know of your findings?

    Here are some steps you can follow:

    The best way to determine if the issue is being caused by a theme and/or plugin is to:

    0. Clear all server-side and browser cache, and enable development mode (if available with the site’s host)
    1. Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront or Twenty Twenty theme.
    2. Try to reproduce the problem: Check whether you still encounter the issue!

    If the problem is resolved, it’s a theme conflict. If not, continue to the next steps.

    3. Temporarily deactivate all plugins except WooCommerce. You can do this manually or use a plugin to help (see below for tools).
    4. Try to reproduce the problem again. If the problem is resolved, it’s a plugin conflict. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, continue to the next step.
    5. Reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict.

    Thx for feedback.
    I just did a conflict test for the 2nd time but it didn’t work ((

    As you mentioned, 1st I tried switching to Twenty Twenty theme -> same problem.
    Then, I disabled all the plugins (except Woocommerce) -> same problem.
    I even tried a 3rd case: Twenty Twenty theme and all other plugins disabled -> same problem.

    Please, I need a solution, as it’s been 3 days that my online shop is not functionnal.

    Another info – when I create an order via wp-admin Woocommerce interface, I’m able to generate a checkout link that works properly.

    I had a site backup from last year, I tested going back to version of October 2021. The backup was successful but the Woocommerce checkout page still keeps loading.

    First, please update back to the latest version of WooCommerce as we can only support up to the previous two releases.

    I noticed SoapClient isn’t working on your site. Please reach out to your host and ask them to enable it as your payment plugin might need it to work properly.

    As you mentioned, 1st I tried switching to Twenty Twenty theme -> same problem.
    Then, I disabled all the plugins (except Woocommerce) -> same problem.

    Also just to make sure here, the problem is with the payment gateway loading forever.

    When you performed the test, did you deactivate all plugins including the payment gateway?

    The site is back to the recent version and all the plugins are up to date now (including Woocommerce).
    The SoapClient is also activated, I asked my host to do that once I noticed it in the report. This changed nothing.
    Concerning the payment gateways -> yes, ALL plugins (including payment gateways) were disabled during the tests (except Woocommerce).

    Please, I need a solution as it’s been a week that I have this issue with Woocommerce on my site and can’t accept any order.

    The problem is not dependent on payment gateway.
    During my previous 2 tests, I deactivated ALL plugins (including payment gateways).

    Thank you for confirming, before asking you to contact us via email. Please remove any custom snippet you’ve added and copy&paste the one below instead.

    add_filter( 'woocommerce_defer_transactional_emails', '__return_true' );

    As per the documentation, the problem could be due to the order email functionally. The snippet above will defer emails from sending until after the order is sent through.

    You can add it to your functions.php file or use Code Snippets

    Firstly, I apologize for the delayed response.

    Once again, can you please deactivate all payment gateways on your site and activate Cash on Delivery only and see if the endless loading is still present on your site?

    If so, activate the payment gateways one by one to see which causes the conflict here.

    I noticed as well that you are not using any payment gateways that are supported by us, hence, since these are third-party plugins which we don’t provide support for (please see our Support Policy here), it would be best reaching out to the plugin’s developers for further assistance here.
