    Hi,
I’d like to know whether this plugin is compatible with Woocommerce or not. Does it add a checkbox to accept privacy policy on Woocommerce registration page?
    Thanks.
    Best regards

    Hi @arantzazu,

    Thanks for your comments.

Our plugin was developed to manage 3rd party cookie scripts like Google Analytics, Facebook pixel, etc.. So it helps in GDPR Cookie Compliance but checkboxes for registration and forms are not included in this plugin. The WooCommerce and registration cookies are required cookies, you mark them as “Strictly Necessary Cookies”.

    Hope this helps.

How do you mark it as “Strictly Necessary Cookies?”

I have installed woocommerce and GDPR Cookie Compliance plugin, and when I have Strictly Necessary Cookies disabled, I am still able to add products to my cart and go through the checkout. This should not be possible if the plugin was blocking cookies.

I see what you are saying that you have to add all of the scripts manually yourself that you want to block.

But this essentially makes the plugin useless as a WP cookie consent plugin, most users will assume this plugin is blocking ALL cookies on the site automatically.

    Hi @johnfotios

Thanks for your message and for using our plugin.

There is a bit of misunderstanding: our plugin does NOT block any cookies by default. Our plugin will block scripts that you setup in the plugin settings from being executed until user gives their consent.

When it comes to WooCommerce (or even WordPress default cookies for user registration or login), it’s not possible to block these otherwise fundamental functionality of your WordPress site would not work. For this reason, you may choose to inform your users that these cookies are what’s called ‘Essential/Strictly Necessary Cookies’ > whether you agree with this approach or not is down to your understanding of GDPR and we cannot comment on that as every website owner is responsible for ensuring that all GDRP requirements are met on their site to their satisfaction.

    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
