Woocommerce consuming too much CPU resource

    Since the second half of 2022 I’m having serious problems with high CPU consumption.


    I went up to the cloud plan and had to go to the VPS so the site wouldn’t crash anymore.


    Even so, when I try to make a change to an attribute or product, the CPU starts to spike up to 80%… 90%.

    Before I didn’t have this kind of problem and kept the same theme and plugins. There were no changes.

    We’ve already optimized it, leaving only the plugins that are really essential. The problem continues.

    Here is the woocommerce report. I ask the woocommerce masters for help, because I really don’t know what else to do. Thanks!

    Once you’ve tried the above steps, please monitor your CPU usage and let us know if the issue persists. If it does, kindly provide us with more detailed information, such as any error logs that you can find under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.

    @katyca we have noticed that you’re using our plugin (AliNext). If you have too many products in your store and have sync option enabled in plugin settings, then it can create high CPU load.

    Below I put more detailed explanation and tips to optimize your server load.

    AliNext runs the auto-sync task every 5 minutes. It will check if there are any old products (with last update time more than 24 hrs). If it found such products, it will take 100 products max and?make 100 / 5 = 20 requests to update them.

    You can manage these values using your wp-config.php. So below you can find the constants which you can use and its default values.

    define(‘A2W_UPDATE_PER_SCHEDULE’, 100);
    define(‘A2W_UPDATE_PER_REQUEST’, 5);
    define(‘A2W_UPDATE_PERIOD_DELAY’, 60*60*24);

    if your server is overloaded with so large amount of products, try to simplify task for your server.

    For example, you can decrease the following value a bit

    define(‘A2W_UPDATE_PER_SCHEDULE’, 50);

    Also, if you don’t need to synchronze products every day and want to synchronize them one per two days, you can increase the following containt too:

    ???????define(‘A2W_UPDATE_PERIOD_DELAY’, 2*60*60*24);

    Please remember you have to put these lines to the wordpress config file:? wp-config.php

    I have the synchronization disabled because woocommerce itself is consuming a lot of CPU resources. I had already talked to AliNext support and they gave me the same guidelines to optimize the CPU. First I will find the problem in woocommerce so I can get back with the sync. Thanks!

    I did some digging and found a similar issue here    , seems to be related to the WPForms plugin.

    Although you don’t have the plugin on your site, I can see its tables are still in your database:

    wp_wpforms_entries: Dados: 0.02MB + índex: 0.02MB + mecanismo InnoDB
wp_wpforms_entry_fields: Dados: 0.02MB + índex: 0.05MB + mecanismo InnoDB
wp_wpforms_entry_meta: Dados: 0.02MB + índex: 0.02MB + mecanismo InnoDB

    I suggest you get in touch with their team on how to remove any traces of their plugin after deleting it. Alternatively, you can check this guide.
