Woocommerce country dropdowns not working in checkout

    Hello everyone!

    I have a problem that country dropdowns is not working in checkout page. I try to disable plugins, under testing in multiple network environments, but still not working now.

    Please help and thanks a lot!

    Thanks for reaching out!

    It looks like the “Country/Region” dropdown on your sites Checkout page is not working as expected, correct?

    Checking your site, I see what you mean as nothing happens when I click the “Country/Region” dropdown:

    Taking a closer look, it seems the “State” dropdown is also not working as expected.

    I have gone ahead and inspected the console of the Checkout page but I am not seeing any errors that related to this particular issue. Also, this issue is present on various browsers on my end (Chrome, Firefox and Safari) – is this the same on your end?

    Has this been an ongoing issue or one that recently surfaced? If the latter, do you recall any updates/changes made to the site prior to this issue first popping up?

    Additionally, I’d like to take a closer look at your sites current environment, and any errors being logged, can you please share the following:

    • System Status Report: you can find this via WooCommerce → Status. Select Get system report and then Download for Support. This will download a TXT file that has the contents of the SSR which you can then share with us here.
    • Fatal Error Log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce → Status → Logs.

    Are you currently using checkout block or a shortcode on your checkout page? I suggest trying the checkout shortcode to see if the issue persists. This is because many themes and plugins are not yet compatible with block-based checkout.

    Have you considered testing with a default theme like Storefront?

    I want to assure you I’ve successfully tested and didn’t encounter the issue using WooCommerce 8.5.1 and the Storefront theme on both my new and old test sites.

    It doesn’t seem to be a problem with 8.5.1. My version was returned to 8.4 and the problem still exists.
    And the strange thing is that I cloned the checkout page
    https://wuluweiqi.com/checkout-cloned/
    This page works fine
    https://wuluweiqi.com/checkout/
    But as a checkout page, this problem still exists.

    I checked https://wuluweiqi.com/checkout-cloned/ and got a Page Not Found error.

    Then I tried https://wuluweiqi.com/checkout/ (after adding items to my cart) and the Country and State fields are working as expected.
