Do you (or anyone on this thread) have the critical error? I see another forum post (https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/fatal-error-4703/) and am wondering if it is related..

Can any of you post a System Status Report to see if there is any similarities? If you go to WooCommerce > Status and click “Get report” and then click “Copy for GitHub” you can paste the results here.

We managed to fix the issue with a WooCommerce 9.0.0 re-install from WP-CLI (assuming you could also do it from the UI, if it works) as follows:

wp plugin deactivate woocommerce
wp plugin install woocommerce --force --version=9.0.0
wp plugin activate woocommerce

This was on a site that had failed with the following error and was already running v9.0.0:
Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Class ‘WC_Legacy_API’ not found in /home/wordpress/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-api.php:19

We’ve only tested this a couple of times, but so far so good. The rolling back to 8.9.3 has worked on lots of sites and also works every time.

Yes V9.0.0 took my site down completely. I had to delete the plugin from the back end and I just reinstalled V8.9.3

Not great as I updated to V9.0.0 because I got a message in my WordPress Dashboard strongly advising me to upgrade to V9.0.0 as a security issue.

Really surprised that testing of V9.0.0 has been so poor. Looking around the chat rooms it seems to have taken hundreds of WordPress sites off-line. Would be great to hear a few words from the author on what went wrong? And can we see something on the plug-in home page to advise folks who have been caught out.

I cannot even delete Woocommerce. The delete link is greyed out EVEN IF I deactivate every single plugin on the site!

OK I have re-named the WC folder in the plugins folder. This did not remove WC BUT allowed the delete link to appear.

So I deleted then re-installed and it seems to have worked.

Why are you pointing at the Legacy API?

It was the CORE Woocommerce plugin that was causing the issues…..
