Woocommerce CSV – not permitted for security reasons.

I have 900+ products I need to upload and I can’t remove html.

As you have found in other forum topics, the error occurs when your CSV file contains HTML elements.

There isn’t a way around it in WooCommerce, however, you can try installing a plugin to disable MIME check, and you may be able to bypass the check for HTML. You can try this plugin: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/disable-real-mime-check/

I’ve uploaded MANY woocommerce csv with html. I’ve never had this problem before this week. We should not be checking for mime type on txt or csv files.

I’ve performed some cross-testing for us today on several of my sites which have the latest versions of WordPress, WooCommerce and our free Storefrontt theme as the only enabled software. When doing so I’ve not been able to replicate the behaviour which you describe with the uploading of a product CSV file.

This indicates that the behaviour which you’re experiencing is isolated to only your particular WordPress install or the CSV file you’re uploading.

The results of my testing also indicates that what you’re experiencing on your site is not directly related to the free WooCommerce plugin itself. Otherwise, all installations of WooCommerce would produce the same behaviour which is not the case.

When testing I used the default WooCommerce plugin sample data below which all imported correctly and without error.
