  • 4.1.1 still broken.

Can someone please provide instructions on how to run a query to get rid of this. It’s not something I’ve had to do before. Thanks.

For the folks who saw the post about the “query” by @drwpcom above (which also worked for me) and who have no idea what kind of query is or how to do it, it’s a SQL query.

    UPDATE wp_wc_admin_notes SET status='actioned' WHERE name='wc-update-db-reminder';

If you don’t know how to manage your WP database (most folks use PHPmyAdmin) you can install a WP plugin like SQL Executioner to run this line of code. Even tho this SQL query is pretty harmless, make a site backup first.

Note: in case you have changed your database table prefix you will want to replace the “wp_” in that query with your prefix.

it worked, but the notice came back again and the status was set to “unactioned” again. why!

Two major point revisions, and this still hasn’t been fixed?

Time to reevaluate bug fixing priorities if something this annoying goes months without being fixed.

Downloading some deprecated SQL plugin and running queries less than 1% of users will understand or be able to troubleshoot when they don’t work isn’t much of a solution.

I’ve got this problem as well.

I know it’s a known issue and you’re working on fixing it, I am just adding myself to be in the loop when it is fixed. Thanks!

This should have been fixed in WooCommerce 4.1.1 as discussed here.

To clarify, when you click the “Thanks” button after updating WooCommerce and the database, are you still getting the error “Action failed. Please refresh the page and retry”?

    I’m running 4.3.0
The Thank you notice goes away but not the following…
    WooCommerce Admin: Historical Analytics Data
To view your historical analytics data, you must process your existing orders and customers.
    Get Started (button)

Even if I click Get Started.

Hi @modernscarface. It sounds like this is a separate issue from what this thread was about. I’m going to go ahead and mark this thread as resolved. Please post the issue about WooCommerce Admin as a separate support thread in the WooCommerce Admin forum.
