WooCommerce database update in progress

    Ive had this error for many many months and its not going away. Can I please get some advice –

    “WooCommerce is updating the database in the background. The database update process may take a little while, so please be patient.”

    I have 6 scheduled items and tried running them manually but they keep coming back. Any advice would be great.

    If I understand correctly, you have had this notice display on your site for months now, and it will not disappear, is this correct?

    In order to get a better understanding of your site setup, could you please share a copy of the following:

    • System Status Report: navigate to?WooCommerce?→?Status. Select?Get system report?and then?Copy for support.
    • Fatal Error log: Share a copy of any fatal error log found under?WooCommerce?→?Status?→?Logs.

    Once you have these, please share them in your response here.

    Additionally, please can you share a screenshot of where exactly you are seeing this notice.

    I get the bar up the top that hasn’t gone away in a long while saying:

    I am able to see that there are errors being caused by the Bayna plugin.

    It’s possible that the syntax error in the pluginUpdater.php file could be causing issues with updating the WooCommerce database, especially if the error is preventing the plugin from executing as intended.

    As a next step, could you try temporarily disabling the Bayna plugin and see if this makes any difference?

Object Cache Pro (MU): by Rhubarb Group – 1.17.1

    Additionally, it is possible that this could be originating from the?object-cache.php. Object caching involves storing database queries and it could be the possible cause of this.

    I’d recommend temporarily disabling any caching plugins, and if that makes no difference, you can try accessing your FTP or cPanel and locate the?wp-content?folder, and see if there is?object-cache.php.

    If yes, please try renaming this and then try initiating another database update from WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Update Database

    Note: Please make a full backup of your site and database before making any changes to the WordPress installation files, so that you can install a backup should anything go wrong.

    Thanks Roxy. I have tried all of the above but still no luck. I even deleted the Bayna plugin but nothing. I disabled the cache and also renamed it in FTP. I have this cache on other Woocommerce apps and it works fine.

    Sorry about the late reply.
    So we managed to run all 500+ manually and it did get rid of the database notification. We will leave the website for a while and see if the scheduled actions re-appear.
    I do think this was because of the 3rd party plugin. Thanks for all your help on this ??
