For better assistance, please share your WooCommerce error logs and System Status on this thread so we can take a look at your configuration and check the issue further:

this issue is(was) not opened predicated upon any error message. please review the message chain for details.

the fatal error you are referencing as being noted in the status report is a collateral issue that just began very recently (perhaps the last three-to-four days)

this is that recent fatal error (both the same, 1 minute apart);

Hi @damelco,

Please disable all your plugins (except WooCommerce) and run again a database update from WooCommerce -> Status -> Tools -> Update database.

Let us know how it goes.

with all other plugins deactivated, update completes as usual.
however, no change in result … within 24 hours the update notice has returned.

Previously, your database version wasn’t up to date as seen in your system status:

WooCommerce database version: 3.1.0

Could you go back to WooCommerce > Status, and check if the current version is 6.1.0?

Hmmm…that’s definitely one I haven’t run across before. Are there any other changes to the database when this happens or is it only the WooCommerce database version that changes?

When the update database routine is triggered, it will create pending scheduled actions to handle the update. Let’s do this. Run the tool to update the database again. Then go to WooCommerce > Status > Scheduled Actions and click on the pending actions.

See if all of the actions for updating the database run successfully. After they run, make sure there aren’t any new ones created.

If that’s not it, I wonder if there is some type of cron task or other server event that is doing this. Something has to change it back that’s scheduled in some way or another. Otherwise it wouldn’t revert hours after the change is made.

You might need to get some assistance from your web host about this too. They may be able to find anything happening on your site that’s causing this.

Did you contact your host as recommended by 3sonsdevelopment?

You mentioned earlier that the database version was automatically rolled back to 3.1.0 which is pretty strange as WooCommerce doesn’t do this. It could be a cron process or event running on the server that is triggering that action.

Your hosting company is also able to check the server logs to see if anything strange appears there.

right after an update runs and reports it is complete … I am seeing additional Scheduled Actions run and marked as Complete

‘update_callback’

It sounds like this instruction is causing the database to revert back although the action is set to non-repeating, it would happen each time there is an update.

There is a plugin called WP Crontrol that enables you to view and control what’s happening in the WP-Cron system and locate what tool is triggering this action.

is the 340 significant to anything??
if that is an indication of a version/revision number, it makes the impression there has been an issue for a pretty long time … right?
