    “WooCommerce database update required

WooCommerce has been updated! To keep things running smoothly, we have to update your database to the newest version. The database update process runs in the background and may take a little while, so please be patient. Advanced users can alternatively update via WP-CLI.”

Clicking the button “Update Woocommerce Database” just adds two scheduled actions (*that don’t auto-run). But then it loops again, and shows the same message as above “WooCommerce database update required”

  • Hi @bwyrwich

    Thanks for reaching out!

Firstly, I apologized for the delayed response.

Typically this is caused by aggressive caching. Caching may be managed by plugins or the web host so clearing all that data will be a good place to start. Thereafter, try initiating another database update from WooCommerce > Status > Tools > Update Database.

If this did not resolve the issue, please share your System Status Report, that will help us further troubleshoot.

You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select Get system report and then Copy for support. Once you’ve done that, you can paste it into your reply here.

If you could also provide the fatal error logs (if any) under WooCommerce > Status > Logs.
