This seems to be related to WordPress rather than WooCommerce. You can change your media size settings from Settings > Media:

Settings Media Screen

If you want to disable large image resizing entirely, you can apply the code below to your site.

add_filter( 'big_image_size_threshold', '__return_false' );

I would recommend using a plugin like?Code Snippets?to add the snippet to your site.
