Woocommerce Downloadable Product Download URL

The generated URL is a unique string that is that long for security reasons, so that it makes it more difficult to guess. You can choose whether or not WooCommerce appends extra text to the filename. If you wish, you can store your downloaded files externally, and provide the URL yourself: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/digital-downloadable-product-handling/#section-16

You can select “Redirect only” for this option if you wish. Although you may see a security warning if you select “Redirect Only”, this method is still supported. The warning is there to make sure you’re aware of the risks of hosting your files somewhere other than within your site.
