    hello,

    i have an issue with woocommerce emails not sending to clients, ive been browsing this forum for a while and i cant seem to find any solution, so any help would be much appreciated ??

    when i place an order or a test order i as the store owner receive the new order email, however the client does not receive any email whatsoever. This started happening recently, i believe after i updated the wordpress.

    What i have tried so far:
    – email notifications for Processing or Completed orders are enabled in the WC Email settings, i tried switching to plain text from html email notification form and i have also tried turning the email notifications in the email processing form off and then back on.
    – i installed the Email Log plugin and it only shows emails sent to me, not the customer email it does not log any emails being sent to customer
    -all of the orders are placed as Proccesing

    Before the update when the emails were sending correctly i solved the issue by installing the WP mail SMTP and that solved it, but this time it wont even log the emails being sent out to client, only to me as new order notification.

    any help would be greatly appreciated!

  • Hi @nejclo,

    Perhaps a conflict is blocking the emails from being generated. Can you check if the issue persists with the Storefront theme activated and all plugins except for WooCommerce and your payment gateway deactivated?

    We have a detailed guide on doing a conflict test here: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    If you can’t do this on your live site, I’d recommend creating a staging site. If your host doesn’t offer that option, we recommend WP Staging for quickly spinning up a new test site.

    Please let us know what you find so we can help further.

    I have the same issue since the upgrade to 5.7.1

    All other emails are sent normally, including stock alerts. The problem is only with order updates

    @nejclo please let me know if you have found any solutions

    Hi!

    There are some steps you can try here:

    * https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/email-faq/

    I see that @nejclo tried logging emails (the logs showed that the emails to customers were not generated in the first place). This is why my colleague @sukafia suggested a conflict test. It is suggestive of another plugin blocking the generation of the customer emails before they get a chance to be sent out (with or without the SMTP software).

    @dimkasta I’d encourage you to run through the steps outlined in the link I sent to see if any of these resolve it for you, then also try a conflict test as described in this guide:

    * https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/how-to-test-for-conflicts/

    @fylgjur Victoria thanks I will check it. In the meantime, I tried installing Post SMTP with the office 365 extension, and when an order update is sent, a critical error appears and it logs an error response

    ErrorParticipantDoesntHaveAnEmailAddress

    Any ideas? Thanks again

    @sukafia and @fylgjur thank you for the for the responses, much appreciate it! ??

    i managed to find the issue @dimkasta and it was with one of the plugins (BigBuy Dropshipping connector specifically) as soon as i have turned it off test order emails started going trough. Strange though, that the only issues were with emails at Order Processing and Order Completed emails, whereas New Customer Note emails and manually sent Invoice emails went trough without any issue.

    Hi!

    @nejclo I’m glad you found the culprit! It is indeed quite odd. I’d recommend reaching out to the plugin developers of BigBuy Dropshipping connector for help here. It looks like their support is located here.

    @dimkasta I found a similar report here on the forum for Post SMTP. There are some troubleshooting steps, links and guidance there so I’d encourage you to try these and then reach out in the Post SMTP forum if you’re still having difficulties.

    At this stage, since you both have a direction to go, I’ll mark this thread as resolved now. If you have any further questions, I recommend creating a new thread. Thank you!
