Adding items to the cart, sometimes when I view cart it shows empty but there are items showing on the checkout page. Then the checkout page can show a spinning wheel. I have searched all setting and found Force SSL checkout for https site which I clicked on and thought would help, but it did not.

The site can go for days, sometimes weeks, without issue then suddenly appears again. My hosting company has gone over settings and find no errors on the server side. I can go into woocommerce status/tools and Clear customer sessions so everything usually works again, but not for long! Very frustrating.

One comment mentioned .htaccess file but I do not know where to find that or how to access that file.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Browser console shows any errors?

No, I can not find any errors. The only discrepancy I can find is the SQL version

MySQL version: 5.5.35 – We recommend a minimum MySQL version of 5.6. See: WordPress requirements

I contacted my host company and they can only do the 5.5.35 version and I can not use the 5.6 version as recommended… can this be the problem? Then I need a different plugin?

Empty cart problems yesterday so I cleared customer sessions. It was working; an order came through 4 hours ago, now it’s spinning wheel at checkout. So I cleared customer sessions again so it’s working.

Could you copy/paste the system status report here? Also, test to see if it’s a theme or plugin conflict?

You can do so by uploading the plugin [Health Check](https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/health-check/). It is a tool that can be useful for debugging. You can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you while you’re logged in to that session without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Go to Dashboard > Health Check > Troubleshooting tab > Enable troubleshooting mode. You’ll be prompted at the top to activate a default theme. Please activate the Twenty Seventeen theme. Then, go to Plugins. You’ll see all plugins have been deactivated. Please activate only one- WooCommerce core.

If it shows correctly, then it’s a theme or plugin conflict. Reactivating each plugin one at a time, then see if the issue pops up again will tell us which plugin is conflicting.

    Thanks

    Hi there,

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
