    Hi.

Great plugin – I’ve read the documentation and about the errors that will be about: ” Facebook Pixel is not paired with any product catalog.” and it’s supposed to work when you click AddToCart, but as soon as I click on “AddToCart” there’s another error: ” Facebook Pixel is not paired with any product catalog.” event id: AddToCart.

Is this supposed to happen, or have I done something wrong?

    The url is: sebastiankolind.com

    Hi,

That’s normal and it means that the product is not found in a product catalog. A product catalog is only necessary for FB Dynamic Ads (Promote a product catalog option), so if you’re not doing that, you are just fine.

We have this error message explained in various places on our site. Here is an article with more details on pixel helper: https://www.pixelyoursite.com/facebook-pixel-helper-errors

We also have various articles on how to do Dynamic Ads, if you will be interested at some point.

    Hi,

Is a “Product catalog” a product category? I’ve read the guide, and I thought that Product catalog is a product category in WooCommerce, and all my products are in a category, so I thought it should work, but maybe I am wrong?

No, a Product Catalog is a completely different thing.

It is related to Facebook Dynamic Ads where you are required to create a Product Catalog and populate it by uploading a feed with your products. After that you can target this catalog with Dynamic Ads – basically an auto-pilot retargeting option that FB has.

So it is something that you set up from a FB business account and has nothing to do with your store categories.

I guess at this point you don’t need it.

    Hi

Thanks for quick answers – it’s great.

So at the end of the day the pixel is working OK, if I just want to make retargeting and stuff like that in the Facebook Ads manager? I mean – is it still working regardless of the error?

    Yes, it does.

I would not say it is an error, but a warning related to the stuff I explained before.

    Good luck with your ads!
