You can delete this post if you want. I figured it out … like most problems, simply deleting the corrupted plugin, downloading the most up-to-date code, and reinstalling worked great.

Hey @integratedcreativity– I’m having the same issue with credit cards at checkout (using Stripe portal on WooCommerce). What was your fix? Thank you!

@mopete677 … I just went into my plugins folder, deleted the stripe payment portal, went to woocommerce’s site, re-downloaded the stripe payment portal plugin, and uploaded the new code to the same plugin folder. Did a cache reset and everything worked. Hopefully that helps you.

Help…same issue…check out page even looks different…but the worst part is the error message…we are losing sales & I don’t know how to fix it. Is this a stripe issue?

Credit Card Number is a required field.
Credit Card Expiration is a required field.
Credit Card CVC is a required field.

    Using stripe on woo commerce.

    Thank you!

@sonia2636 – It is not a stripe issue. It is a plugin issue. Just delete the old plugin, you can do that through FTP or on the wordpress dashboard, go to woocommerce, download their newest stripe payment portal plugin (it is free), then reinstall the plugin. You will probably need to refresh your cache and it should solve it. I think it happened from the recent update to the woocommerce plugin—at least that is when mine stopped working.

Will this affect any of my forms? or the website? I am not familiar with coding but I do know how to find the plugin on wordpress.
Stripe for WooCommerce – so I deactivate.
Then Add New and find the new Stripe for WooCommerce and add.

    (is this the right one?)
    Is it that simple?
NO coding is involved? I’m not a coder.
If at all possible could you walk me thru this? Thank you.

@integratedcreativity – Thanks for solving this. It wasn’t as obvious to me and I’m glad you followed up with your solution.

To everyone else getting this error, the key to fixing this problem is to DELETE Stephen Zuniga’s free “Stripe For WooCommerce” plugin (found in the WordPress plugin directory). Then go to WooThemes site, download the official Stripe plugin (also free). You have to go through a checkout process to get it, but you’ll get a product activation key too.

As above, the previous free Stripe payments is no longer supported and out of date, attempted to get in touch with the developer on many occasions but no response.

Stripe payments is now free to use via https://woocommerce.com/products/stripe/ Remove the old, install the new and it works fine.

Also suggest logging in to Stripe and updating to the latest API version and roll all current keys.
