WooCommerce – Error processing checkout. Please try again.

About 30 minutes after installing and launching the plugin, the error “WooCommerce – Error processing checkout. Please try again.” occurs when placing an order. The order is added to the list of orders, but the customer cannot go to the order summary. After deactivating and reactivating the plugin, the problem reappears after about 30 minutes. In the Woocomerce logs I see the following error “WARNING Customer Utilities: Could not find a customer ID.”
