Woocommerce Fatal Error

    Hi,

    I would like to ask for assistance regarding Woocommerce Fatal Error. Recently we are getting this “CRITICAL Uncaught TypeError: method_exists(): Argument #1 ($object_or_class) must be of type object|string, int given in /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/includes/class-wc-install.php:708”

    We are not sure how did this occur. Another thing I would like to ask is the latest Woocommerce plugin compatible with the latest version of php(PHP 8)?

    I’ve seen related issue in the other thread and they had it resolved by downgrading the php version. But in our case, we don’t want to downgrade the php version. I just hope woocommerce is compatible with php 8.

    Yes, it is fully compatible. In the cases where it needed to be downgraded that has always been due to other incompatible tools (other plugins) interfering.

    If you are using any custom code on your site can you please disable those and check if the issue persists?

    In your response please share a copy of your site’s System Status. You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”. Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    In order to figure out what’s causing the fatal error, you may want to proceed as follows:

    ➛ Update your theme and plugins
    ➛ Run a conflict test

    It is also a good idea to update WordPress to the latest version. We do highly recommend a staging site for these tests and updates so that your live site remains unaffected. A staging site is a clone or copy of the live site, used for testing.

    Many hosts provide staging facilities, so it’s worth checking in with your hosting company. It’s also possible to do it using the free WP Staging plugin. Link: https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-staging/
