I try to use Woocommerce filter block with Block theme (2022). Filters are working good on main shop page. But when I am on category page, filters don’t inherit category data and filters show all filters (this doesnt happen with classic theme and filter widgets). This creates problems because when I click on most of filters, it shows me “No product” message.

  • Hi @wpsoul

    Thanks for reaching out!

I understand that you are experiencing an issue with the WooCommerce filter block while using the Block theme (2022). It seems that the filters are working fine on the main shop page, but not on the category pages as they don’t inherit the category data, and you’re encountering a “No product” message when clicking on most of the filters, correct?

To better picture what you are referring to here, can you please share with us a clear screenshot of what you see on your end so that we could address you more effectively?

If you don’t already have a screenshot service installed, you can try https://snipboard.io. You can share the direct link to the image as a response to this topic.

I don’t know why you need screenshot, because this bug is not related to specific site or theme, this happens on any block theme with any block. Here I placed filter blocks on Product Catalog FSE template. Then, I visit product category which has only 1 item. But filters show me all items

If you use classic theme and Woocommerce filter widget, it detects automatically products of current category and shows me filters which already limited to current category page.

A report was opened about this in the blocks repository and as you can see from the comments, the developers are already involved.

Currently, we are unable to provide an estimate for when the team will review or address the issue as bug reports are evaluated based on various criteria. I suggest you subscribe to the thread for further updates. You’re also more than welcome to share any feedback or possible solutions there. :?)

    Cheers!
