Woocommerce Filter by price is not working

  • Hello all,

    I have a problem with my Woocommerce filter by price. When i am not logged in with any account(admin or new made account) then the filter by price mostly works perfect. When i login with my admin account or a new made account then it stops working completely. Then when i logout then it works more or less or not.

    Hey there!

    Can you check the developer console of your browser to see if there are any errors, when you see the problem?

    Another route to take would be to test if this is caused by a conflict with your theme or with another plugin.
    ?
    The best way to determine this is to:

    • Temporarily switch your theme to Storefront
    • Disable all plugins except for WooCommerce
    • Repeat the action that is causing the problem

    If you’re not seeing the same problem after completing the conflict test, then you know the problem was with the plugins and/or theme you deactivated. To figure out which plugin is causing the problem, reactivate your other plugins one by one, testing after each, until you find the one causing conflict. You can find a more detailed explanation on how to do a conflict test here.

    I only see those:

    I tried that with the storefront theme but how do i get a price filter at that theme? i dont see that.

    With the plugins, i only use woocommcerce plugins, contactform 7, all in one migration, duplicate page, fusion builder and core for Avada theme, loco translate,
    Health Check & Troubleshooting. So not weird plugins i guess?

    Thanks for that! From what you’ve said, it sounds like the filter by price functionality is coming from the theme – I’d recommend reaching out to the developers of Avada to see if they can provide any insight on this issue

    and on what do you base that it is a problem from Avada? And how can it be that the problem is only there when i am logged in?

    You mentioned that when you switch to Storefront, there is no option for a price filter – that would indicate that functionality is coming from the theme, since it disappears when you only switch the theme. If I misunderstood that, let me know!

    I have in the past seen issues that only show up when someone is logged in, sometimes they are caching related but there are sometimes other issues.

    Well i try to do the storefront but then it goes to Twenty Twenty, or is storefront together with that theme? and i got the option at widgets from woocommerce but woocommeerce works alot with avada so maybe it is a special feature? i want to ask avada but i dont see an option for that

    Storefront and Twenty Twenty are both themes, they can’t be used together. WooCommerce does have some default widgets you can try: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-widgets/

    I’m not familiar with Avada myself but from what you’ve described, it sounds like it might have it’s own filter functionality. They would be the best folks to ask that though.

    I did install the storefront but then it goes to twenty twenty? no idea why. I did ask Themefusion now so i will wait on that too.

    small problem, i did install the storefront but it keeps going to twenty twenty, and i tried to change now to others but it stays at that theme. And it is really big in the screen and i dont see an option to change to a different one, only by doing a new one and download it but then again it goes to twenty twenty.

    How can i fix this?

    As @fevered indicated it looks like the particular filter you’re using is not related to the free WooCommerce plugin and is possibly originating from your theme called Avada.

    With regards as to activating Storefront and seeing Twenty Twenty, that’s not something I’ve been able to replicate on any of my test installs.

    I’d suggest carrying out a conflict test in your site to try and locate the culprit. This document below offer guidance on how to conflict test on a WordPress installation.

    that last message is already solved. But i did now the storefront and then at widgets i see the option for price filter too. And some other things but then it says : Avada: contact info or something. With the others it just says price by filter and nothign special with avada
