    Howdy!

It sounds like your host is suggesting that you set the download method to X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile from here:

WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Downloadable products

However, before you do that you might want to double check with your host to make sure that the X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile module is installed and enabled on the server.

    Cheers!

The problem is very complicated ??
Unfortunately server doesn’t support php modules like X-Accel-Redirect/X-Sendfile but they accepted to install secure download module on nginx for download server.
I have to clarify that there are two servers. one which I have the WordPress (Website) installed on it, and the other is the download server which is supposed to serve the files for download.
The problem is now with the direct link on download server! They (host) give me a string to use as a secret key to generate Secure link hash and a direct link is supposed to be created with that hash string.
How do I do that now?!
The Idea is to install a new WordPress with “Secure Downloads” on it. this will do the trick for me and gives me a semi-direct link to file.
    Does it sound right?!

    Hi @khoshsafa,

It does look like your host is restrictive. Can you try an alternate hosting company like Bluehost or Pressable who offer better hosting services suited for WooCommerce?

    Cheers.

    Hi @spraveenitpro
Yes Unfortunately their services are restrictive but that’s not my host and the site is also not mine! I’m just working on this project.
Hosting alternative may be the last solution for me.

I changed the hosting company and site is now launching from another server but still problem exists!
    anyone?

    Hi,

Can you provide us with the error message from the PHP error logs? There might be a PHP directive which is too restrictive and causing the download to fail, if this is the case the PHP error message will give us more insight into why it is failing.

    Cheers!

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved. If you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.
