• I’m having the same cache issue that the users on the following thread had: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/store-cart-error-due-to-gtm-plugin/

The issue is that when the first product of a session is added to the cart if the user then visits the cart within a 30-second window, the cart is shown as empty. ?I tried the proposed solution in the above thread, which was creating a separate Google Analytics account/property but that didn’t solve the issue.

I also tested disabling every tag in the container to see which was responsible for the issue and found that if any Google Analytics Event Tag or the Universal Analytics is turned on, the empty cart issue occurs.

In the meantime, I’ve set up Analytics through a separate WP plugin which doesn’t cause the empty cart issue although I’m not getting any EEC data over into analytics.

Any thoughts as to why when I add the Universal Analytics tag or any of the EEC Tags the empty cart issue occurs????? Thanks a ton in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

Thanks for opening a new thread.
So if you disable your cache plugin, everything works normally?

Upon testing, even if I disable the Auto-Optimize (only cache plugin on site) the empty cart issue persists.

The site is using GoDaddy’s Managed Hosting as it’s host and my research thus far suggests by default they shouldn’t be caching any pages.

    Thanks a lot!
