Woocommerce – Hide products of subcategories within main categories

    I’m using Woocommerce for the first time and I’m finding an issue of products of a child category showing up on parent categories. I don’t understand why this would happen.

    The issue is also described here, but the solution described doesn’t work for me, as it remove all products and just displays the category, which is empty of products after using this code.

    Can anyone help me with this please?
