Woocommerce hide shopping cart when empty

I am using Avada theme and woocommerce. I am looking for a way to hide the shopping cart when empty. I do not want it showing unless there are items in it for my customers/clients.
It seems others have had the same issue and have had it resolved but have not shared on how it was resolved. I am not a techy person so please share code and where to place it exactly. Thank you
