    Hi Frank
I activated the plug-in and ticked the boxes for HTML,CSS and JS.
Straight away the images on product variations would not load and it was not possible to add to the basket at all or to place an order in testing.
I have deactivated it and it seems fine but \i am loathe to reactivate and try the options one by one in case I cannot fix it.
    Please help
    Thanks
    Martin

Just an update – the HTML and CSS boxes being ticked does not replicate the problem. The issue is with the JS

    Thanks

    That’s great information! ??

    OK, some random hints (mostly based on what is in the troubleshooting tips in the FAQ);
    * does activating “also aggregate inline JS” and/ or de-activating “force JS in head” change anything
    * does “try/catch wrapping” fix anything?
    * does excluding jquery.js from JS optimization improve things?

if all of this does not work; have a look at your browser’s (error) console, the JS error’s there should help us narrowing down the problem.

‘*does activating “also aggregate inline JS” and/ or de-activating “force JS in head” change anything’ –
weirdly this solved the problem with some product variations and images but not others

    ‘* does “try/catch wrapping” fix anything?’ –
this seems to have worked perfectly !!!!

Thanks very much – that’s great support.

I am having the same issue. In addition to the images I cannot complete the checkout process using Stripe credit card.

    My error I get is:

Please make sure your card details have been entered correctly and that your browser supports JavaScript. Developers: Please make sure that you are including jQuery and there are no JavaScript errors on the page.

If I disable Optimize JavaScript Code then everything is fine.

I have tried addingjquery.js to the exclude scripts section in addition to turning Add try-catch wrapping on. But neither fix the issue.
I then disabled both Force JavaScript in <head> and Also aggregate inline JS.

This seamed to work. Do you think this could cause any issues like this as it recommends to active Force JS in<head> if Also aggregate inline JS is deactivated.

Ended up de-activating Add try-catch wrapping and removed jquery.js from the exclude scripts list and tested it. This worked fine. So for me it was de-activating the Force JavaScript in <head>.

    Thanks

    Hi Frank
I have just found that my website still has errors with picture loading but I have tinkered with the tick boxes and now I think I have sorted it.

So for the benefit of other users, if you have ‘add to cart’, selecting variation or picture loading issues then these are my settings:

    Optimize JavaScript Code? – ticked
Force JavaScript in <head>? – unticked
Also aggregate inline JS? – ticked
Exclude scripts from Autoptimize:- left as default
    Add try-catch wrapping? – ticked

    Hope that’s it now!

    mstone7,

Just keep doing variations of these settings. Worded for me.

Try adding jquery.js to exclude scripts, untick aggregate and try-catch.
