Woocommerce: Limit Add to Cart to One Click

    I am using woocommerce to allow users to buy a single gym class. They select the gym class from a calendar (PinPoint reservation booking plugin) and then press add to cart, they are redirected automatically to the cart, they go to checkout and complete the booking.

    The problem is when you click add to cart, there is a slight delay before it redirects to the cart page. Because users are not seeing an instant action, they are pressing the Add to Cart button several times. Each time they press, it is adding the class to their cart again and they end up with two to three times in their cart. Some even complete the booking with three items without even realising.

    So the the questions is, is there a way to limit the add to cart button to one click in woocommerce to ensure this does not happen.

    Im exhausted trying to find the solution so any help would be appreciated.

  • I just had a play around, trying to replicate your scenario, and was unable to. If you are redirecting to the cart it should retrigger. Have you disabled “AJAX add to basket buttons on archives” in Woocommerce > Settings > Products > Display ?

    If that doesn’t work, can you please add a link to the project.
