I have several pages running Flatsome theme and Woocommerce as a catalog. My websites do not operate as a webshop, so no orders can be placed, just to represent the products. Because of this, all prices, reviews, order buttons, and account stuff is deleted, turned off or hidden.

Currently I’m trying to improve SEO to have better rankings and through SEMrush and several other tools I have realized that all pages (literally every page on the site) has a broken link to: https://faesztergalas.hu/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

I’m not sure how I could fix it, but it for sure affects SEO. I have talked to Flatsome about the issue but they said it is a woocommerce responsibility to fix these, and here I am, stuck.

Any ideas on how i could get rid of this redirect?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Hi @mojszi23

Thank you for reaching out — we’re happy to help!

(literally every page on the site) has a broken link to: https://faesztergalas.hu/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Kindly note, just to clarify, this is not default WooCommerce behavior.

I went ahead with investigating the source code of the page at https://faesztergalas.hu/termekkategoria/fa-butorlab/, as an example, and found the following (below, I’m attaching a screenshot, to showcase):

    Direct link to image: https://snipboard.io/7eo0AX.jpg

In the screenshot above, the location of the form embedded in every page of your site is found.

I trust that points you in the right direction, but if you have more questions, let us know.

    We’re happy to help.

    Hi @anastas10s !

Thanks for the really prompt reply.

I assumed it is not, but I cannot really get to the bottom of it. I’ve talked to the theme devs, but they told me it is not a theme issue. I have several sites, but unfortunately I run the same theme and set of plugins on all of them, so I’m not really able to check on any other site.

I also found this section in the code, but I thought that because of the “hidden” values it might be because of Woocommerce, as I have all the account settings unchecked.

What do you think, is it a theme issue?

    Thank you so much!

    Hello mojszi23

    Thank you for your reply.

I have reviewed the site and there are two things to think about:
1- Why is there a password reset link on every page?
2- Why is the password reset URL not working?

    Point 1:
This is because there is a lightbox container (popup box) added to each page.
This functionality directly comes under the active Theme.

    Point 2:
If you append /wp-login.php?action=lostpassword to any WordPress site, it should take you to a password reset page. You can try this with any WordPress site:
    https://anywordpresssite.com/wp-login.php?action=lostpassword

Point 2 is related to core WordPress and not WooCommerce.

The best way forward would be to set up a staging site and perform a conflict test.
This will clarify what is causing the problem.

Looking forward to your response. ??

    Best regards.

    Hi!

It is indeed a theme issue, I have changed the theme to a different one and it magically disappeared. I will contact the devs asap to fix this.

Thank you so much both for your help, at least now I know which way to go!
