WooCommerce Memberships problem

  • Hi there,

    Thanks for a great plugin. I’ve been testing your plugin with WooCommerce Memberships plugin, but when I pay and the order is set to complete (automatically), membership is not activated for customer. It works when other payment methods. Also, when I re-save the order.

    Steps to reproduce:
    1) Create a product which is virtual&downloadable
    2) Create a Membership plan based on products purchase
    3) Try to buy and see if membership is activated

    Any idea why that happens?

    Unfortunately I haven’t been able to test with WooCommerce Memberships yet.

    Do I understand correctly that *saving* the order, when complete, results in an activated membership?

    How exactly do you set the order to ‘complete’ automatically – which hook(s) did you use?

    According to the document, membership access is supposed to be granted for “processing” or “completed” statuses.

    For Virtual/Downloadable products we do call the payment_complete() method on the order, which sets one of the two statuses but perhaps some combination of things stops this from happening or stops the hook from firing.
