    Hello,

    I am currently using Woocommerce + MercadoPago checkout for Woocommerce addon. (MercadoPago is the preferred payment gateway in Argentina)

    I am interested in setting up an affiliates program and would like to know if I can use this plugin.

    Given the fact that transactions will be made in Argentina my main concern is if affiliates could be paid in argentine pesos.

    Hi,

    Thanks for asking! Yes you could use this to run your site’s affiliate program with WooCommerce and that payment gateway. The integration with WooCommerce is independent from the payment gateway used as it ties into the order process, so basically any proper WooCommerce gateway will fit the combination.

    How you pay your affiliates is freely up to you, the system provides Totals due in the currency of the orders placed. So in your case, those commissions would be in Pesos as long as your orders are in Pesos. Note that the system will not process affiliate payments for you, it provides the means for you to arrange the payment yourself.

    This is great news and I′m glad I can use the plugin, However which is the way to handle this crucial topic of automatic payment processing??? (I am referring to payments to be made to affiliates)

    Thank you very much for the Christmas wishes, we hope you had a very merry Christmas, too *<:-)

    Regarding the topic of automatic payment processing and if the volume of commissions that you will be paying justifies it, we provide extended functionality via the premium versions of the system. If you would like to have a look, you can see how that works with the mass payment file and export facilities that those versions provide as shown here. The exported data can be used to manage bulk payments, but those features are not included in the free version we are discussing here. Also note that this is still not a fully automated process, it would still require you to first obtain the mass payment file and then use that to process bulk payments if your payment provider supports that.

    In any case, we would recommend to first make sure that the overall system works out well for you. Later if you see enough volume that would justify using bulk payments, you can decide whether going with one of the premium versions would actually make sense.
