I have used WooCommerce successfully on many websites. On one particular site, I take payments for appointments. They are non-refundable, even if cancelled. Many times I will cancel and order, and no refund is issued (which is how I want it to be).

However recently I had an order I marked from “Processing” to “Oh Hold”. The client was unable to keep the appointment, so I marked the order from “Oh Hold” to Cancelled.

This caused WooCommerce to request that a refund be issued to the customer when it should not have been. Have any of you encountered this issue before?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hey there,

From what you’ve shared here, I’m not sure why the refund request was sent out – it sounds like it went to an automatic payment gateway such as Stripe or PayPal.

I’d double check which gateway it was, then work with the developers of that plugin to find out what went wrong. I can also recommend sharing information such as the system status log, as that’ll make it easier to track down what happened. If you can, please also share the order notes for that order, with any sensitive information redacted.
