• Hello, I’ve just started to use the woocommerce mobile app for ios and it works perfectly fine. I have just one issue: I want to implement it companywide but i don’t want each user to see the shop stats.

I’ve used User Role Editor plugin (by Vladimir Garagulya) and disabled the cappability “view_woocommerce_reports” for the role “shop manager”. As a result it worked ok in the wordpress dashboard (the user could edit orders but could’t see the shop reports) but unfortunately in the App the user couldn’t see reports but also couldn changa any order status.

Is it possible to deal with this somehow? I need a user to have full permissions to edit orders statuses and add order comments but have no permission to see shop reports.

Thanks in advance for any help,

    Adriana

  • Hello Adriana,

To restrict the access to WooCommerce reports on the mobile app, you may need to modify the user capabilities and the app settings. Here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Remove the “view_woocommerce_reports” capability for the “shop_manager” role using User Role Editor plugin as you have already done.
    2. Install the “Advanced Access Manager” plugin and activate it.
    3. Go to “Users” > “Roles” > “shop_manager” and uncheck the “view_woocommerce_reports” capability.
    4. Go to “Plugins” > “Advanced Access Manager” > “Settings” > “WooCommerce” and set the “Reporting” access to “No Access” for the “shop_manager” role.
    5. Save the changes and log out of the app.
    6. Log in to the app again with the “shop_manager” user and check if they can edit orders and order comments without accessing the shop reports.

This should restrict the access to the WooCommerce reports on the mobile app while still allowing the “shop_manager” user to edit orders and order comments.

    I hope this helps!

    Thank you for your reply!

I’ve just done what you advised, but unfortunately it didn’t help:(

    I followed this steps:

    1.”view_woocommerce_reports” – OFF

    2.”reporting” in Backend Menu/woocommerce – DISABLED

    3. log out and log in in mobile app

=> user doesn’t see reports but cannot change order status either

I wonder if i made a misteake or this solution is not working?
