So, I have plenty of experience with Woocommerce but this one has me stumped. I have had a few people register on my site that (confirmed by yours truly) completed the registration form and despite the Woocommerce settings wound up with a normal WordPress account and DO NOT show as a Customer in the Woocommerce Customer section ????

Also, the WordPress admin link block shows NO “User Registration” link… not sure if this is deprecated or just missing for some plugin conflict. I do know how to troubleshoot plugin conflicts by renaming or shutting them down so no reason to go into depth explaining this option.

NOTE: I currently have a different issue going on with my site “sent” emails landing in the spam folder of the recipients and have no emails going out currently. So, registering now is not going to get you far…. however, super curious to know if support has dealt with this before and know a fix?

    Hello @ksteele36,

When a new customer registers via the WooCommerce registration form they will appear under WP dashboard > WooCommerce > Customers if they have placed an order on the site.

If the new customer is only registering but does not place any orders, their username and other details will only be saved in the WP dashboard > Users > All Users section.

Also, the WordPress admin link block shows NO “User Registration” link… not sure if this is deprecated or just missing for some plugin conflict.

Can you please take a screenshot of this so we can have a look? We recommend using an online tool like https://snipboard.io.

I currently have a different issue going on with my site “sent” emails landing in the spam folder of the recipients

This usually happens when SPF and DKIM records are not added to the DNS records. These are security standards designed to validate the sending server and make sure email messages aren’t altered in transit between the sending and recipient servers. To solve this, you will need to ask your email hosting provider.

    Hope this helps!

Hello Mirko, thank you for responding.

    1. I understand the disconnect in registration… however, being an eCommerce site and with Woocommerce now entertaining “Cart Abandonment” this breaks the principle of having such an option. The only way Cart Abandonment currently works is for repeat customers and therefore loses a large percentage of 1st time visitors forever… this is a problem for an eCommerce site. Those are accounts we should be able to convert. If there is a registration option or plugin that would allow users to register the Woocommerce Customer side of the site instead this would be preferred. Do you happen to know a solution for this?
    2. The “User Registration” missing link SS here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/e5dk050uc6x6tl1/wp-admin.png?dl=0< /br> When I was investigating the Woocommerce User Registration issue I found support articles that had screenshots of the WP Admin dashboard that included a had a path like this: “WP Dashboard / User Registration / Woocommerce” —– I think I was trying to pull the Woocommerce registration form over to my account login/registration page. See it here: https://nanoplanetcbd.com/accounts/
    3. Thank you, I have a leased server VPS and have the host techs having a look. Seems like such a simple thing but it has taken them far too long for my liking. Hope to be resolved tomorrow.

I really would like to figure out a solution for this Cart Abandonment issue and Registration default to Woocommerce Customers instead of WordPress Customers – this is a real problem.
    Thanks again for helping!

    best regards, “K”

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

If there is a registration option or plugin that would allow users to register the Woocommerce Customer side of the site instead this would be preferred.

I’m not aware of a plugin that can do that but you can have a look at the www.ads-software.com plugins repository and search for a suitable plugin. Alternatively, you can consult with a web developer for a custom-coded solution: https://woocommerce.com/customizations/.

    The “User Registration” missing link

WooCommerce does not create a “User Registration” section in the WordPress dashboard. So you probably were looking at articles referring to some other plugins adding that additional feature.

As per the Cart abandonment issue you may want to use a plugin like WooCommerce Cart Abandonment Recovery or Abandoned Cart Lite for WooCommerce that capture the email address of users on the checkout page and send follow up emails.

Since these are third-party plugins we will not provide support on this forum. Note that his forum is for specific questions and issues related to the core WooCommerce plugin.

    Thanks.
