    Hello,

After the recent 8.6 update, the info icon in WooCommerce notices is not rendered correctly. I already tried to clear and regenerate CSS and Cache.

Going back to the previous version seems to work fine again. Is there any way to fix this?

  • Hey there ??

    Thanks for reaching out!

It looks like the info icon in WooCommerce notices is not rendering correctly on your end after updating to WooCommerce [8.6], correct?

I’ve taken a look on my test site which uses the latest version of WooCommerce and I am unable to replicate the issue. Here is what I see:

I’d like to take a closer look at your sites current environment, please can you share a copy of your sites System Status Report.

You can find this via WooCommerce?→?Status. Select?Get system report?and then?Copy for support.

Additionally, can you please check the browser console any pages exhibiting this behavior, and share any errors with us here.

You can read more about?using your browser console to identify errors here.

    Cheers!

Hello Roxy thank you for the fast reply

Here is the WooCommerce Status Report: https://pastebin.com/raw/C4FiL1zc

I also forgot to mention that I am using a custom code snippet (generated with ChatGPT) to display a “Free Shipping” notice at the cart page and the elementor’s mini cart sidebar: https://pastebin.com/raw/2jEVbG7E

    Could that be an issue?

About console errors there aren’t any when i am inspecting the page.

    Hey @giannisgx89

Thanks for clarifying, that is super helpful!

It’s very possible that this is being caused by a conflict (either a theme, plugin or custom code).

To check, I’d suggest performing a full conflict test by following the steps outlined in the support guide below:

To prevent testing on your live site, you can use the free Health Check plugin which will allow you to deactivate plugins and switch themes while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site.

Let us know how this goes!

I disabled all plugins and snippets and kept only woocommerce and elementor and the free shipping sippet.

The issue is still there, i guess it is caused by the free shipping snippets that cant render the new “info” icon correctly. The previous WooCommerce version had an SVG icon instead of the font-family.

The funny thing is that when i ask chat gpt if the snippet can cause such an issue it wrote that it shouldnt ??

Anyway, thanks a lot for trying to help. I guess i will either disable the snippet all together or just hide the icons withs css and replace them with svg.

    Howdy,

    Ah, gotcha!

Just an update – I’ve gone ahead with testing the snippet on my test site which uses the latest version of WooCommerce core and the default Storefront theme, and here is what I see:

I had a sneaky suspicion that it may be related to the current theme on your site, Hello Elementor, and when switching to this theme, here is what I see:

So it appears this issue may be between the snippet and the Hello Elementor theme. ??

I hope this helps point you in the right direction!

Thanks a lot for update Roxy!
I’ll do some further testing and if i have a solution i will post it here.

    Hey @giannisgx89

    Happy to help!

That sounds like a plan – that may be very helpful for others with a similar issue, looking for the same solution??

On the other hand, I’ll go ahead and mark this as resolved then since the issue is not related to default WooCommerce core functionality however, feel free to create a new topic?if you need any further help with WooCommerce core.

Also, if you have a minute, we’d love it if you could leave us a review:
